Minnesota Vikings come home to Minneapolis Metrodome November 20, 2011 Vikings Raiders

The Minnesota Vikings have been absent from the Minneapolis Metrodome since the Vikings Packers game on October 23, 2011! I've missed the Vikings being at home!

The Vikings play the Raiders at home on Sunday, November 20th. Vikings Raiders tickets are going fast! People are excited to have the Vikings back at home after a month away! Even Ticket King, who always has Vikings tickets, only has 150 Vikings vs. Raiders tickets left for sale! That's astounding! If you plan on going to the game to see the Raiders take on the Vikings, you'll need to secure your Metrodome tickets now! No dawdling!

Metrodome Advance Auto Parts Monster Jam tickets

Monster Jam Trucks is coming back to the Metrodome! After being cancelled last year due to the Metrodome roof collapse, I can imagine that there are some very excited fans, ready to see some monster trucks! Saturday, December 10, 2011, come see Monster Jam Trucks at the Metrodome!

Ticket King still has Monster Jam Trucks tickets available at $59 each! There is a Pit Party earlier in the day! The Pit Party takes place from 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM. Free Pit Passes are available at participating Subway locations through 12/10/11 while supplies last. The Show starts at 7:00 PM with the doors opening at 5:30 PM.

If December 10th doesn't work for you, don't fear! Monster Jam Trucks will return to the Metrodome on Saturday, January 21, 2012!

Will the Metrodome be gifted away?

A group of Minnesota state lawmakers proposed that the Metrodome be given to the Minnesota Vikings team.The plan would be that the Vikings sign a contract of 25 years and would assume the costs it takes to operate the Metrodome.

The Vikings said, 'no thanks.'

As the story goes, the Metrodome no longer works for the team. The plan would allow the Vikings to make any changes they wanted to the venue that they cannot currently make due to the team not owning the stadium.

This plan had been proposed many years ago, when the Minnesota Twins were looking for a new home. The Twins, obviously, declined as well.

Poor Metrodome...it's the ugly step-sister that no one wants around.

Metrodome roof repair details

Did you know that the Metrodome roof was finished with repairs and re-inflated on July 13, 2011? This was five months after the roof originally collapsed back in December of 2010, requiring that two Minnesota Vikings home games get moved to a different venue.

It took 50 people working six day workweeks to finish the project! The insurance for the Metrodome covered the whole $22 million cost to fix the roof. The project was finished on budget, and ahead of schedule from when the contractors predicted the roof would be finalized.

Once everything was finished with fixing the roof, it took 12 huge fans to fill the ten acres of fiberglass fabric with air, and it was inflated in 45 minutes!

Luckily everything went smoothly with the fixing of the Metrodome roof, and the new roof was finished and ready in time to start hosting the Minnesota Vikings games again in time for the preseason games back in August.

Minnesota Vikings vs Green Bay Packers at the Metrodome!

Alright, we all know the Minnesota Vikings have not been doing that great this year. But the great news is, regardless of if you are a Vikings fan, or a Packers fan, this coming weekend is the one we all look forward to!

The Minnesota Vikings are hosting the Green Bay Packers at the Metrodome, or Mall of America Field, on Sunday October 23 at 3:15pm!

Vikings Host Cardinals at Metrodome

The Minnesota Vikings are hosting Kevin Kolb and the Arizona Cardinals this Sunday. Donovan McNabb and Kolb have a history: McNabb was traded from Philadelphia to make way for Kolb. Now both quarterbacks are with different teams are have been struggling this year.

The two will meet on Sunday.

The pressure is on for both teams right now. Kolb is probably feeling the pressure a bit more after signing a five-year, $63 million contract with the Cardinals (1-3).

Leslie Frazier has maintained the McNabb will remain the starter even though the veteran is ranked 18th-best in QB rating at 80.9 with only four touchdowns. Minnesota ranks 31st in the league in passing offense. Fans at every game I've been at have started a 'we want Ponder' cheer at one point or another; fans want to see Ponder.

Minnesota heads into Sunday trying to avoid matching the franchise's worst start set in 1962.

The cardinals fell to 0-6 all-time at the Metrodome after blowing a 14-point, fourth-quarter lead in last year's 27-24 overtime loss.
