Metrodome Construction Update

Everyone has been eating up the Metrodome construction updates! It's going to be a two year progress and we can't wait to see what the final product is.

The Minnesota Sports Facilities Commission announced Friday, April 11th, that the pouring of the new stadium’s first deck was completed. The deck will form part of the lid of the loading dock. It was only 277 cubic yards of concrete (which apparently isn't very much) but it’s a start.

We will keep you updated with all the new Vikings stadium construction updates!

Metrodome Memories from a Vikings Fan

It's the end of an era for the Vikings Metrodome. And how do we feel about that? I'm not sure. It's a dump, but it's our dump.

When you ask football fans what they will remember most about the Metrodome, the two answers would probably be Gary Anderson's missed field goal for the Vikings in the NFC championship game in January of 1999 (still crying about that one) and the roof casually collapsing from the snow a few years ago.

There are some great articles and photo stories on the end of the Metrodome, check out Top 10 Metrodome moments in Vikings history from Fox SportsMetrodome memories will live on, and a photo gallery from ESPN.
