Dome Memorabilia 2013

Will there be Minneapolis Metrodome Memorabilia? That is the question. Usually when a building is destroyed, the public has the ability to buy or have some of the building. Will they do that for the Dome post destruction?! Time will only tell, keep checking back to our blog to see if we have any updates about Dome Memorabilia.

Who is going to miss the Dome?

Will anyone actually miss the Minneapolis Metrodome?  The Metrodome roof is the first thing many people won't miss. It's a difficult thing to have to deal with, especially knowing that it can become an issue during games. Most stadiums have the sun to deal with, but that dome causes its own special brand of problems. The ball is the same color as the roof, which obviously causes a lot of errors when playing.

Another issue with playing inside a building is the old air. Many players have sinus issues and get sick from perhaps the mold, bacteria or something else.

Minnesota Twins Home Opener

The Minnesota Twins Home Opener is less than a week away! Can you believe that the “boys of summer” will be taking the Metrodome field in less than a week? And just think this is the FINAL HOME OPENER at the Metrodome. I am starting to become quite nostalgic - I think I might miss the white Teflon roof and the blue plastic chairs and the baggie in right field…well, maybe I won’t miss every thing about the Metrodome, but the place does hold a lot of Minnesota Twins history.

This will be the good-bye season for the HHH Metrodome and the Twins have a lot of fan oriented activities planned as we say good-bye to the home field that awarded us two World Series Championships and is the birth place of waving the “Homer Hanky”. I will for sure be making plans to see the Minnesota Twins several times this season at the Metrodome just to say good-bye.
