Weekend Twins Series at Metrodome include Freebies
On Saturday, you should bring your kids for the Mauer & Morneau Plastic Bat & Ball Set promotion. The first 5,000 kids 14 and under will get a free bat and ball. The Metrodome promotions don’t end there. On Sunday, Mothers Day, the first 5,000 women will receive a free Mother's Day Twins t-shirt. I love Twins baseball and I am glad to see they are running promotions to fill the Metrodome stands early in the season.

Minnesota Twins Metrodome Fans
If you ask me, now is the time to go to the game because Twins Ticket prices are so low. You can get Twins Tickets from Ticket King at BELOW face value – that’s cheaper than if you would buy them directly from the Twins themselves. I am sure Ticket King is just trying to liquidate less than popular games, so take advantage my budget cautious friends and take a trip over to the Dome and enjoy America’s favorite past-time - Baseball!
See ya at the Dome!

Last Opening Twins Series at Metrodome
I am going to miss the Metrodome and all of the baseball history. I am wondering what they will call the Dome Dog at Target Field? I am sure it will have a more upscale feel and I am looking forward to outdoor baseball, but leaving the Metrodome behind is still sad.
I guess I better get around to creating a new Target Field blog.

Minnesota Twins Home Opener
The Minnesota Twins Home Opener is less than a week away! Can you believe that the “boys of summer” will be taking the Metrodome field in less than a week? And just think this is the FINAL HOME OPENER at the Metrodome. I am starting to become quite nostalgic - I think I might miss the white Teflon roof and the blue plastic chairs and the baggie in right field…well, maybe I won’t miss every thing about the Metrodome, but the place does hold a lot of Minnesota Twins history.
This will be the good-bye season for the HHH Metrodome and the Twins have a lot of fan oriented activities planned as we say good-bye to the home field that awarded us two World Series Championships and is the birth place of waving the “Homer Hanky”. I will for sure be making plans to see the Minnesota Twins several times this season at the Metrodome just to say good-bye. There are great Minnesota Twins Tickets available from local ticket brokers like Ticket King if you are looking to sit between the bases!

Metrodome Hosts NCAA Basketball Tournament
I haven't hardly seen any information about this in the media spotlight, but it has come to my attention that the Metrodome will be the host for the first and second rounds of the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament on March 20th and March 22nd. That is a big deal and I haven't hardly heard any one talking about it. I love March Madness and I think it's awesome that the Metrodome will get to be a part of it. Of course the University of Minnesota is the host of the event, but I still consider it a Metrodome event.
We will know who will be playing at the Metrodome Minneapolis when the pairings are announced on Sunday, March 15th - we know it won't be the Gophers because NCAA tournament rules forbid a host school from playing at home - just to keep it fair...or in my opinion, to insure the economy keeps rolling with all the travel expenses that will be occurring once the pairings are announced. I would love to see my hometown Gophers live in the NCAA tournament, let's hope they make it!

Metrodome Activities: Rollerblading
Did you know that you can rollerblade on the Metrodome concourses? For specific dates and times, visit http://www.roller-dome.com/ - it’s usually four hour time blocks in the evenings during the week and costs $6.50 for adults and $5.50 for students. They even offer free rollerblading lessons! If you are looking for something to do with your kids some week night when they are feeling antsy from being trapped inside all the time, this would be the perfect thing.
Hope to see you at the Metrodome Minneapolis!
