Next Minnesota Governor Will Decide Metrodome Fate

Mark Dayton, Tom Emmer, Tom HornerCurrent Governor Tim Pawlenty will be stepping down at the end of this year. That leaves an election in 2010 for the new governor of Minnesota. Republican Tom Emmer, Democrat Mark Dayton, and Independence candidate Tom Horner are all options as the new governor of Minnesota. Whoever is voted will likely face the next task - Will the Minnesota Vikings get a new stadium? Will the Metrodome be torn down? To answer the first question - if the Minnesota Vikings land a new stadium, then it would likely mean the end to the Metrodome. The Metrodome is used exclusively for the Minnesota Vikings after the Twins left. Stay tuned with the Governor Election and who will decide the Metrodome's fate.

Home Opener at Metrodome Filled

Minnesota VikingsThe Minnesota Vikings played the Miami Dolphins on Sunday afternoon. The game was sold out and the Metrodome was filled with Vikings fans. Gridiron Club Cool Option for Minnesota Vikings Fans

The MetrodomeA new place for Minnesota Vikings fans to enjoy the game and hang out before is called the "Gridiron Club." Now that the Minnesota Twins have their own stadium, the Minnesota Vikings were able to transform the old Twins administrative offices into what is now the Gridiron Club. It's a bar and lounge area for Minnesota Vikings fans. Season ticket holders who buy a membership will be able to hang out in the club while getting a great view of downtown Minneapolis and, when the weather's accommodating, there's a deck for fans. It will allow season ticket holders to have a spot to hang out with other Minnesota Vikings fans.
